Kirkridge is a haven where, since 1942, people of whatever convictions and beliefs have been coming to reflect and grow together in a setting of safety, tranquility, and natural beauty.

Over the years it has made a profound difference in the lives of countless participants in many programs. Ours, Leaping upon the Mountain, will meet in August 2021 for its 30th season. But time takes its toll, and constant demands for maintenance, repairs, and essential improvements have meant that other important concerns must often be postponed.

Our goal is to address these concerns, focusing on areas that have an immediate impact on the Kirkridge experience for program participants.

After discussions with the Center’s leadership, we have identified areas where our financial support can result in major improvements that will immediately benefit participants. These include:

• Bedding and related accommodation amenities (achieved June 2021!)
• Updating and expansion of kitchen equipment
• A new UTV (utility task vehicle) for maintenance and other campus tasks

We want to stress that regardless of what amount you can donate, it’s all equally important and appreciated. And if you can’t contribute financially, bear in mind that you have already contributed just by your presence at LUTM, perhaps in ways you don’t realize – and may never really know.

Connections among survivors are real and powerful, and the Kirkridge Initiative isn’t just about fundraising. It’s also about embracing and extending our community of survivors and allies – remember back to the time when you had yet to tell anyone about the abuse you endured as a boy, or when you thought you would never be able to talk about it.
